Carry Steel has been established for over 60 years specializing in the supply and fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel for oil and gas refineries, heavy oil extraction plants, chemical plants, pulp and paper mills and commercial, institutional and industrial buildings.

Carry Steel is currently seeking a full-time Weekend Shift Warehouse/PMs to join their team:

Pay Rate: $30.25/hour (if fully competent)

Includes company-paid benefits and pension plan

Weekend Shift (3 – 12’s/week, Friday through Sunday, with 40 hours pay)

Specific Duties:

· Operate or assist overhead crane operation, to load and unload steel, in an outdoor environment (light trucks,



5 ton “body jobs”, tractor-trailers, and rail cars)

· Help organize and store steel inventory in an organized/easy-to-retrieve manner

· Complete required quality control and paperwork.

· Assist the Crew Leader and perform other related duties, when required.

Qualifications:

· Applicants with the following assets will be preferred:

o Overhead crane experience in a steel warehouse service centre or steel fabrication environment;

o Basic rigging course, and/or certified overhead crane operator;

o Load-securing experience;

o Effective written and verbal communication skills;

o Basic computer experience;

o Forklift experience, and basic forklift training course, and/or certified forklift operator;

o A valid Driver’s License;

o WHMIS;

o Fit for duty, and able to lift to 30 lbs.
