Physician / Nurse Practitioner – Men’s Health

AROUSED Medical is a specialized men’s health clinic in Calgary focused on providing modern, comprehensive and accessible healthcare for men sexual health.

We are currently seeking a Physician (MD), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or physician with an interest/background in mens health, nutrition, functional or integrative medicine to join our growing clinical team.

This is an opportunity for a clinician who is interested in developing expertise in men’s health, sexual health, hormonal health and preventative care while working within a clinic specifically designed around the healthcare needs of men.

Areas of Practice

Depending on the practitioner’s training, interests and scope of practice, patients may present for:

- Erectile dysfunction and sexual health concerns
- Low libido and changes in sexual function
- Testosterone and hormonal health concerns
- Premature ejaculation and other sexual function concerns
- General men’s health assessments
- Metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors affecting sexual health
- Weight, nutrition and lifestyle-related health concerns
- Preventative health and screening
- Mental health concerns affecting sexual health and wellbeing
- Collaborative care with other members of the AROUSED clinical team

We are particularly interested in practitioners who recognize that men’s sexual health is often interconnected with metabolic, hormonal, psychological and lifestyle factors and want to provide thoughtful, evidence-informed care rather than treating concerns in isolation.

Physicians interested in incorporating men’s health and sexual medicine into their practice.

Nurse Practitioners
NPs comfortable independently assessing and managing patients within their legislated scope of practice.

Specialists
Practitioners interested in taking a comprehensive approach to men’s health while maintaining evidence-based medical standards.

Previous experience specifically in men’s sexual health is an asset, but not necessarily required. A genuine interest in developing expertise in this area is equally important.

Practice Environment

AROUSED Medical Clinic is being developed as a multidisciplinary clinic where men can access healthcare in an environment specifically designed for them.

Our goal is to make conversations about sexual health, hormonal health and other commonly overlooked men’s health concerns normal, professional and medically appropriate.





Practitioners will have the opportunity to collaborate with complementary healthcare professionals and contribute to the development of clinical services as the practice grows.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold the appropriate registration and authorization to practise in Alberta for their profession.

Additional education or experience in men’s health, sexual medicine, hormone management, preventative medicine, metabolic health or functional/integrative medicine is considered an asset.

Schedule: Flexible; part-time and potentially expanded clinical hours available
Start Date: Flexible

Compensation and practice arrangements will be discussed based on profession, scope of practice, availability and the structure of the applicant’s practice.
