Regina Housing provides appropriate and affordable housing for those most in need. We are currently looking for one Tenant Relations Officer to join our Housing Program team.
The Tenant Relations Officers (TROs) are responsible for all aspects of tenant selection, placement, support and service referrals. Our TROs provide each tenant with suitable placement based on need and current vacancies. TROs establish an ongoing relationship with tenants to facilitate successful tenancies by addressing complaints, assessing complex needs, and assisting to secure adequate supports. Our TROs work closely with agencies and support services to address specific requirements of each tenant.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in the areas of mediation, dispute resolution, and counselling seniors and/or families.
- Sound knowledge of community-based health and social service agencies such as mental health, family services, and health services offered through the health district.
- Demonstrated experience with computers including high proficiency in all Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Access. Experience with JD Edwards is considered an asset.
- Ability to recognize individual psychosocial recreational and health requirements through informal assessment and make recommendations for services.
- Commitment to confidentiality and a respect for diversity and individual differences.
- Knowledge in community development, social programs and non-profit administration
- Excellent communications skills with emphasis on interpersonal skills, mediation and conflict resolution
- Ability to interpret Acts and regulations and apply policies and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and organize in a demanding workplace
- Critical thinking skills
- A high degree of self-initiation, reliability and flexibility
- Experience working with high-risk populations
Qualifications:
- A Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences (or related discipline) combined with at least 2 years related experience
- A clear and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver's license
Working Conditions
Schedule:
- Core hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Location:
- RHA Dewdney Location
- Frequent travel within Regina
Work Environment:
- Indoor work in an office setting
Physical & Mental Demands:
- This position involves an extensive amount of computer work requiring prolonged sitting and typing.
- Performs analytical work requiring a high degree of concentration and attention to detail.
- Frequent exposure to challenging interactions with the public requiring sustained emotional resilience, professional composure, conflict resolution, and the ability to safely manage confrontational or potentially aggressive behaviour.
- Occasional bending.
- Infrequent lifting of 50+ lbs.

Pay: $33.21-$36.29 per hour
