Reports To: Fleet Shop Manager
Location: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, ON
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: 6-7 days per week, as required, including Saturdays based on operational needs, workload, and business priorities.
Position Summary
Mucci Pac Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dependable Truck & Coach Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining company vehicles, transport trucks, trailers, and farm equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically skilled, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair farm equipment, company vehicles, transport trucks, and trailers.
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and replacement of air and fuel filters.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Repair or replace defective components and parts as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, and service files.
- Support winter maintenance operations, including snow plowing, salting, and snow removal when necessary.
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Truck & Coach Technician or in a related mechanical repair role.
- Truck and Coach Technician Certificate (310T)
preferred or currently enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of a Truck and Coach Apprenticeship program.
- Robust knowledge of truck, trailer, and mechanical systems, including the tools and equipment associated with the trade.
- Experience using diagnostic software, computers, and scan tools is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and preventative maintenance practices.
Physical Abilities:
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
- Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
- Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
- Work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.
The rate of pay for this position is $35.00/hr - $42.00/hr
