ODIT Solutions Inc. is a Canadian field services company providing technical support and hardware services to leading national clients. We are expanding our technician network and are looking for Certified Lenovo Technicians with strong hands-on hardware service experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and experienced Lenovo Certified Field Service Technicians to perform onsite Lenovo hardware repairs, component replacements, diagnostics, and related technical services.

The successful candidate must have the required tools, complete the specified Lenovo training, and follow all Lenovo service and ESD procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform onsite Lenovo hardware repairs and component replacements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot Lenovo hardware issues.
- Follow Lenovo technical procedures and service documentation.
- Complete hardware replacements using appropriate ESD protection.
- Perform LCD, system board, thermal, and retention-related service tasks as required.
- Maintain professional communication with customers and site contacts.
- Complete service documentation and provide accurate service updates.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and according to required standards.

Required Qualifications

- Lenovo-certified technician or relevant Lenovo hardware service certification.
- Previous experience servicing Lenovo laptops, desktops, and/or ThinkPad systems.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field-service workplace.
- Professional communication and customer-service skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned service locations.
- Must have the required tools listed below.
- Must complete the required Lenovo training courses.

Required Tools & Equipment





Technicians must have the following:

- ESD grounding strap and anti-static mat
- Type-C to USB 3.0 adapter
- Digital voltmeter
- Long-nose/needle-nose pliers
- Diagonal pliers/wire cutters
- Pliers
- Nut driver set: 5/16”, 1/4”, 3/8”, 7/16”
- Phillips screwdrivers: #1 and #2
- Slotted screwdrivers: 1/4” and 5/16”
- Torx drivers T5–T30, including:
- T5, T8, T20 and T30 with shaft length greater than 4” (11 cm)
- T15 with shaft length greater than 6” (15 cm)
- Security Torx screwdrivers T1–T20
- Plastic case cracker/bamboo stick/orange stick/spudger
- 17-piece precision screwdriver set for laptops
- 16 GB flash drive
- Two 4 GB flash drives
- 2¼” suction cup
- Flashlight
- Pen/pencil and paper

Required Lenovo Training

The following training courses are required:

- ThinkPad System Board Setup Tool: Simplify Your Setup (CSWW224) – 5 minutes
- LCD Self-Test Service & Support Training (CWSi230) – 30 minutes
- LCD Best Practices (RWSW247) – 35 minutes
- Thermal Interface Materials (RWSW245) – 30 minutes
- Retention Test (TPRW200r2) – 20 minutes

Total training time: approximately 2 hours.

ESD Compliance

ESD protection is mandatory when performing hardware replacement.

Technicians must use an ESD grounding strap and anti-static mat when working on electronic components. Proper grounding and ESD-safe work practices are required to help prevent damage that may not be immediately apparent after service.
