Job Overview
Megamind Learning Centre – Toronto Mt Pleasant is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will provide engaging English instruction to students from Senior Kindergarten (SK) to Grade 4 and teach our Public Speaking program to secondary & high school students.

Teachers at Megamind Learning Centre do not have to prepare lesson plans, as all curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials will be provided.

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging English lessons focused on reading, writing, phonics, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension for students from SK to Grade 4
- Teach Public Speaking classes that help students develop confidence, communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills
- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Centre Director
- Create a positive, encouraging, and engaging classroom environment
- Inspire students to build confidence, develop a love for learning, and reach their full potential
- Communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Maintain accurate attendance and student progress records

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, Child Development, or a related field
- Candidates currently pursuing an undergraduate university degree will also be considered




- Experience teaching English Language Arts to elementary students (SK–Grade 4) is preferred
- Experience teaching Public Speaking, Drama, Debate, or Communication Skills is a strong asset
- Excellent spoken and written English with clear pronunciation
- Energetic, patient, and passionate about working with young children
- Strong classroom management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Available to work some weekday evenings (4:00–8:00 p.m.) and/or Saturday mornings
