Pro Fab Steel is a leading structural steel fabrication and installation company committed to safety, quality, and delivering projects on time. We are looking for an experienced Field Crew Foreman to lead our installation crews on commercial and industrial construction projects.

Position Summary

The Field Crew Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and extensive experience in structural steel installation, welding, and site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise field crew members on structural steel installation projects.
- Miscellaneous Steel Install is a large part of the job and will be a variety of work from all parts of structural steel.
- Jobs will be all over lower mainland and driving to site in company vehicle will be typical for each day.
- Read and interpret structural steel shop drawings and engineered drawings.
- SMAW Welding/ All Position CWB will be required
- Outdoor Field Work ( this is not a shop position)
- Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Communicate project progress and site requirements with supervisors and site superintendents.
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete and maintain daily safety documentation and reports.




- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
- Coordinate with safety personnel, other trades, and site management.
- Train and mentor crew members while maintaining productivity and accountability.
- Identify and resolve field issues and provide recommendations for improved efficiency.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel erection, welding, or ironworking.
- CWB Certified Welder with FCAW and SMAW experience preferred.
- Solid knowledge of structural steel installation, rigging, and tilt-up construction.
- Ability to calculate elevations, slopes, work from grid lines, and accurately place structural steel. Reading Structural Drawings is REQUIRED
- Experience operating fabrication tools and construction equipment safely.
- Fall Protection certification and experience working at heights.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license required.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
