We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty equipment and machinery in Westlake, AB. The successful candidate will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime and supporting production or fleet operations.

Pay - $55/hr

Shift - Days

Responsibilities:-

- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty equipment and machinery.

- Perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

- Complete work orders, maintenance records, and inspection reports accurately.

- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

- Replace and repair defective components and parts.

- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation.





- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

- Coordinate with operators, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel to schedule repairs and minimize downtime.

- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair situations as required.

Requirements:

- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification (Red Seal certification considered an asset).

- Minimum 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty equipment.

- Solid knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and powertrain components.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Valid driver's license.
