Position

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will perform duties in a safe and appropriate manner. You will be responsible for maintenance and repairs on the job site.

Job Duties

- Measure, cut, shape, trim, assemble materials and components using hand and power tools
- Fix doors, build door frames and complete finishing work where required
- Build decks and landings
- Assemble furniture for site offices
- Complete roof repairs
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to Site Supervisor in order to facilitate corrective action

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have;

- Red Seal Certified as a Journeyperson Carpenter
- Three to five years of experience with maintenance and repairs
- Knowledge of basic equipment and power tools
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Effective self-managing, good problem-solving skills, planning,



organizing and priority setting skills combined with a strong work ethic
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative
- Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will be required.
