Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have good mechanical knowledge and experience working with various types of heavy duty trucks (Dump Trucks, Twin-steers, Tractors, etc.) ,

This role requires a solid understanding of heavy duty truck repair, electrical systems, and break and clutch systems.

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy truck equipment .
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy truck equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs or replacements.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components.
- Operate heavy trucks to test functionality post-repair.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Heavy truck Mechanic or similar role.




- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Familiarity with Westerenstar machinery and other industrial equipment is preferred.
- Experience with Equipment repair is a plus (Excavators, Loaders, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license may be required for operating equipment on-site.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- Journeyman (preferred)
- Trade Certificate (preferred)
