Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Kitchen & Facility Assistant! Duties

- Receive, prepare, portion, and serve meals and snacks provided by our food vendor.
- Ensure food is handled, stored, and served in accordance with Alberta food safety regulations.
- Wash dishes, sanitize kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishing.
- Complete daily cleaning and janitorial duties, including:
- Sweeping,



mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Cleaning and sanitizing washrooms.
- Emptying garbage and recycling.
- Cleaning common areas, entrances, staff spaces, and other assigned areas.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Support the team with additional facility-related tasks as needed.

Required:

- Valid Food Safe Certificate.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 25 lbs.

Assets (Not Required):

- Alberta Child Care Certification – Level 1.
- Previous experience in a childcare, commercial kitchen, custodial, or janitorial environment.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
