LEGAL VOLUNTEER / LAW CLERK – VOLUNTEER POSITION

PMalik Law Firm Professional Corporation is seeking a motivated and reliable Legal Volunteer / Law Clerk to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain practical experience in a busy law firm workplace and further develop their legal skills.

Position Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of relevant legal experience in a law firm, legal clinic, or similar legal environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
- Experience with Ontario court forms, filing procedures, and legal correspondence is an asset.
- Experience in Family Law, Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Wills & Estates, or Real Estate is an asset.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate may assist with:

- Legal research and preparation of legal documents.
- Drafting correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, motions, and other court materials.
- Preparing and organizing disclosure and litigation materials.




- Assisting with court filings and procedural requirements.
- Reviewing and organizing client documents.
- Preparing case summaries and legal research memoranda.
- Assisting lawyers with day-to-day file management and administrative legal tasks.
- Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other legal professionals.
