Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw concrete into smooth, durable surfaces that meet precise specifications. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring quality craftsmanship and safety standards are upheld throughout every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, from commercial buildings to renovation projects, utilizing your hands-on skills and technical knowledge to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

- Place, spread, level, and finish freshly poured concrete.
- Use hand and power tools, including trowels, floats, screeds, edgers, and concrete finishing equipment.
- Operate power trowels and other concrete finishing tools as required.
- Screed and level concrete to the required grade and elevation.
- Finish concrete surfaces to achieve smooth, broom, or other specified finishes.
- Repair imperfections, patch concrete, and perform finishing/detail work.
- Install control joints and edges as required.
- Assist with concrete pours and coordinate with other crew members.
- Monitor concrete during placement and finishing to ensure appropriate timing and quality.
- Follow drawings,



specifications, and instructions provided by supervisors and foremen.
- Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures and WorkSafeBC requirements.
- Wear required PPE and promptly report unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Perform other construction-related duties as required.

Experience

- Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher is preferred.
- Robust knowledge of concrete placement and finishing techniques.
- Experience using concrete finishing hand tools and power equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
