Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role is vital in ensuring a positive first impression and smooth flow of the restaurant or hotel operations. The Host/Hostess will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements to enhance the overall customer experience.

Duties

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries courteously and promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized host station, ensuring a professional appearance at all times
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating and service flow




- Handle phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservations
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the lobby or reception area
- Support restaurant operations during busy hours by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating

Qualifications

- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred; restaurant experience is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Familiarity with Opentable an asset but not a requirement
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
