Job description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the life of a child? Are you energetic and eager to make meaningful connections? Apply to become a Volunteer Ignite Mentor today!
We are seeking dedicated Volunteer Ignite Mentors to be paired with Mentees for our Ignite Huron Program.
The Ignite Program is a blend of group programming and individual connections between the Mentee and the assigned Ignite Mentor. The Ignite Mentor and Mentee will spend quality time building connection and enjoying similar interests together in the community. The Mentor will serve as a positive role model in the child’s life. At the end of each month, all enrolled Mentor’s and Mentee’s will gather in Seaforth for a creative group program hosted by staff. This blend of programming encourages connection, community, and friendships for everyone in the Ignite Program!
The Ignite Mentee and Mentor will enjoy 2 individual community outings each month and a structured creative group program at the end of each month hosted in Seaforth. Committing to this volunteer role is vital and we ask for a 1-year commitment from the Ignite Huron Mentors.
This position is flexible as the Ignite Mentor will arrange community outings that are suitable to the Mentee’s and Mentor’s schedule. We ask that the Ignite Mentor be available for the creative group program at the end of each month hosted in Clinton.
Mentee’s enrolled in the program are between the ages of 5-13 and will be assigned Mentor's based on detailed questionnaires.
If you would like to volunteer as an Ignite Mentor, please contact Caitlin Beaudry by calling (phone hidden) ext. 2341 or e-mail submission. A Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Driver's Abstract will be required, in addition to role specific training.
