Part-Time Night Patroller – Sign and Lighting Inspections
YESCO Southwestern Ontario is hiring a part time Night Patroller to inspect and photograph commercial signs and exterior lighting along assigned routes within the Greater Toronto Area. This position involves two evening shifts per week after dark, with each shift lasting approximately three to four hours.
Routes are pre-planned, training is provided, and the position pays $27.50 per hour. No sign or lighting industry experience is required.
As a Night Patroller, you will help businesses maintain safe, well-lit facilities by identifying signs and exterior lighting that require repair. Using the YESCO app, you will photograph outages and submit the information to our team, through the YESCO app, for follow-up by our Account Executives.
This position offers flexible evening hours and an opportunity to earn additional income while working independently.
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned, pre-planned routes after dark.
- Identify signs and exterior lighting that may require repair.
- Safely park before taking photographs or using the YESCO app.
- Upload clear photographs and accurate information through the app.
- Complete assigned routes and shifts according to the agreed schedule.
Requirements
- A reliable vehicle and valid automobile insurance
- A valid driver’s licence and acceptable driving record
- At least three years of licensed driving experience
- Availability for two evening shifts per week
- An Apple or Android smartphone with a data plan
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to consistently complete assigned routes and shifts
The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of a valid driver’s licence and current automobile insurance.
Compensation and schedule
- $27.50 per hour
- Approximately six to eight hours per week
- Two evening shifts per week after dark
- Specific evenings and start times will be agreed upon with the successful candidate
- The employee must use their own vehicle. The $27.50 hourly rate is the full compensation for the position. Mileage, fuel, parking, tolls, insurance, vehicle maintenance, and all other vehicle or travel-related expenses are not reimbursed and remain the employee’s responsibility.
