Toronto Tank Lines (TTL) is seeking an experienced Fleet Planner / Dispatcher to join our Operations team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day planning and movement of our fleet, working closely with customers, drivers, and internal departments to coordinate freight requirements, optimize equipment utilization, and ensure safe, efficient service delivery.

The successful candidate will have previous transportation planning experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the tank transportation industry is considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate the day-to-day movement of TTL's fleet to meet customer service expectations and operational requirements.
- Work closely with customers to manage freight requirements, gather load details, and ensure on-time service.
- Assign loads to drivers and owner operators while maximizing equipment utilization and operational efficiency.
- Monitor load progress and proactively communicate updates to customers and drivers.
- Maintain accurate load information and operational data within the transportation management system.
- Coordinate with other departments to maximize fleet productivity and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain awareness of driver qualifications, equipment capabilities,



and trailer restrictions when planning loads.
- Respond to service disruptions and resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner.

Skills & Qualifications

- Previous transportation planning/dispatching experience is required.
- Strong understanding of the transportation industry, including Hours of Service regulations, electronic logs, and applicable transportation legislation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly in a constantly changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, drivers, and team members.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and transportation management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
- Tank transportation experience is considered a strong asset.
