About the Company
Forge Recruitment’s client is a reputable law firm seeking a skilled Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to support a sophisticated commercial real estate practice.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support on a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, mortgages, refinancing, and lending matters. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting both lending and borrowing-side transactions, with exposure to syndicated loans and mezzanine financing considered an asset.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting lawyers on complex commercial real estate and lending transactions.
- Preparing and reviewing mortgage, loan, and security documentation.
- Coordinating with lenders, financial institutions, and other parties to facilitate transactions.
- Managing files from inception through to closing, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Conducting title and off-title searches and preparing title reports.
- Preparing and reviewing loan documents and related closing materials.
- Managing commercial real estate files, including purchases, sales, refinancing, and secured lending matters.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk, with experience supporting both lending and borrowing-side transactions.
- Experience working with banks, financial institutions, and private lenders is considered an asset.
- Completion of a Law Clerk Diploma.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with Teraview, OnCorp, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide excellent service to clients and internal stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Strong judgment, initiative, and willingness to learn firm processes and workflows.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with document management systems (DMS) is considered an asset.
The Offer
- $90-130K
Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
