Senior Bartender | Yorkville, Toronto

C Suite is seeking a Senior Bartender / Bar Lead who can contribute beyond drink execution and help uphold the quality, rhythm, and standards of the bar.

This role is for someone who is technically strong behind the bar, but also capable of understanding the full front-of-house experience. At C Suite, a senior bartender is not separated from the room. The role requires cocktail execution, room awareness, guest communication, service pacing, team support, and sound judgment throughout service.

A strong understanding of classic cocktails is essential. We view the classics not simply as recipes, but as a foundation for balance, structure, restraint, and disciplined execution.

For the right candidate, this role may grow into assistant manager-level responsibilities after a 60–90 day review period.

Responsibilities

- Prepare classic and house cocktails with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Maintain strong mise en place, organization, cleanliness, and closing standards
- Read the room, anticipate guest needs, and respond appropriately during service
- Support the front-of-house team when needed, including guest communication, floor awareness, and service flow
- Help maintain the rhythm between the bar, floor, and host stand
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with all team members
- Identify service issues early and address them before they affect the guest experience
- Support less experienced staff through example, guidance, and constructive feedback
- Help uphold and improve C Suite’s beverage, service, and operational standards
- Take responsibility beyond the bar station when the situation requires it

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of professional bartending experience, preferably in an upscale cocktail bar, hotel bar, or fine dining environment




- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, balance, dilution, and hospitality fundamentals
- Clear and refined verbal communication skills
- Robust situational awareness and composure under pressure
- Dependable approach to preparation, execution, and follow-through
- Ability to support the full front-of-house experience, not only the bar station
- Ability to guide and support less experienced team members
- Humility, accountability, and openness to feedback
- Smart Serve certification is required
- Availability on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings is required

Compensation

This role will begin as hourly plus gratuities.

Compensation will be based on experience, capability, and scope of responsibility. After a 60–90 day review period, the position may be restructured into a salaried leadership role for a candidate who demonstrates strong consistency, sound judgment, front-of-house awareness, and the ability to take responsibility beyond the bar station.
