Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Automotive Detailer to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in professional automotive detailing and take pride in delivering vehicles to a consistently high standard.

This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, efficient, reliable, and experienced in preparing both new and pre-owned vehicles, as well as customer vehicles, to dealership-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform complete interior and exterior detailing of new, pre-owned, and customer vehicles.
- Wash, dry, and thoroughly clean vehicle exteriors.
- Vacuum, shampoo, steam clean, and detail carpets, upholstery, seats, and interior surfaces.
- Clean and condition leather, vinyl, plastics, dashboards, consoles, and trim.
- Perform professional polishing, buffing, and paint correction as required.
- Remove minor scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, stains, and other surface imperfections when possible.
- Apply waxes, sealants, protective coatings, and other detailing products.
- Clean wheels, tires, wheel wells, windows, mirrors, and exterior trim.
- Perform engine-bay cleaning when required.
- Prepare new and pre-owned vehicles for customer delivery and showroom presentation.
- Complete vehicle detailing efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Inspect completed vehicles to ensure all work meets dealership expectations before delivery.
- Identify and report vehicle damage or concerns to management before and after detailing.
- Safely operate buffers, polishers, pressure washers, extractors, steam cleaners, and other professional detailing equipment.
- Properly use and store detailing chemicals and cleaning products.
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and safe detailing/work area.
- Move and park vehicles safely throughout the dealership property.
- Work closely with the Sales, Service, and Used Vehicle departments to ensure vehicles are completed within required timelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous professional automotive detailing experience is required.
- Experience working in an automotive dealership or professional detailing environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of interior and exterior detailing techniques.
- Experience using qualified polishing and buffing equipment.
- Knowledge of appropriate detailing products, chemicals, and their safe application.
- Ability to recognize different paint finishes, interior materials, and appropriate cleaning methods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and working both indoors and outdoors.
- Must possess a valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driving record.
