Extended Day Support Staff - Deployment (D)-PM Shift

Applications from employees from within the Board as well as external applicants will be accepted. However, applicants will be considered in the following order:
1) Qualified permanent ESS/OSSTF Bargaining Unit employees.
2) Qualified probationary, temporary and Temporary Hourly Rated (THR) ESS/OSSTF employees.
3) Qualified external applicants (includes employees from other Bargaining Units).
Reporting to the Manager, Extended Day program, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting absence management within the Extended Day Program using EasyConnect.
The successful applicant for this Educational Support Staff position, Level D, will work 35 hours per week, 10 months per year, effective as soon as possible.
Salary: $27.10-$32.70
Hours of Work: 12:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break) **Please note - a shift premium will be paid for hours worked after 5:00 p.m.**
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for deploying supply coverage for the Before and After School Programs using EasyConnect
- Provide administrative support to the Manager, Extended Day Program.
- Maintain various databases; utilize computer applications (i.e. Word, Excel).
- Interact in a positive and professional manner with the public and with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Secondary School Graduation Diploma is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with related work experience or post-secondary education.
- Computer knowledge and/or experience to include, but not be limited to, Microsoft Office, ApplytoEducation and Gmail is desired. Experience working with Excel spreadsheets and Word mail merges would be an asset.
- Excellent computer and word processing skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with administrators, staff and the public.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
- Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal supervision and to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Ability to work collaboratively as member of the Extended Day team.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service and managing multiple demands in a fast-paced workplace
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy;
- Proven ability to troubleshoot employee concerns effectively.
