GRT Genesis Inc. is seeking an experienced Punch Press Operator / Setup Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC punch press equipment while ensuring parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC punch press equipment according to production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Select, install, and change tooling to ensure accurate production.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.
- Work closely with team members to meet production schedules and quality expectations.

Qualifications





- Previous experience setting up and operating CNC punch press equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Asset):

- Experience with CNC programming or editing punch press programs.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience.
- Experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
