Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Food Service Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality meal service and food preparation in a supportive environment, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our residents or clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, customer service, and sanitation, with a strong focus on maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable. Duties

- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service
- Handle food with proper sanitation procedures to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and maintained regularly
- Provide excellent customer service by attending to residents' or clients' needs courteously and efficiently
- Manage meal portions and serve food in a professional manner
- Maintain a clean dining area by cleaning tables, trays, and surrounding spaces after each meal service
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations




- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Support team members in meal planning and preparation tasks during busy periods

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service, food preparation, or related roles preferred; experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Strong customer service skills with a caring attitude toward residents or clients
- Ability to handle food safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness standards
- Good time management skills to ensure timely meal service
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform kitchen tasks safely
- Prior kitchen or food handling experience is desirable but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate

Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour
