TOK Transit is recruiting professional and dependable Operations Supervisor for the Argo Caledon on-demand transit service pilot program.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and coordination of transit operations, providing support and direction to Operators, responding to service issues, and helping ensure safe, reliable and professional service.

The successful candidate will work with Argo's technology and dispatch systems to monitor vehicles and service performance and will provide both operational supervision and dispatch support throughout the service day.

Duties

· Monitor daily transit operations, vehicle locations and service performance.

· Monitor driver tablets, GPS/CAD/AVL and other operating systems.

· Provide Operators with operational direction and support.

· Monitor Operator availability, attendance and shift coverage.

· Coordinate spare Operators, vehicle assignments and driver reliefs.

· Monitor vehicle charging and availability.

· Coordinate vehicle change-offs and service recovery.

· Respond to collisions, breakdowns, passenger incidents and emergencies.

· Ensure Operators follow Argo routing, dispatch instructions and operating procedures.

· Conduct field observations and Operator ride checks.

· Assist Operators with customer service and accessibility-related issues.

· Review and complete required dispatch, incident and operational documentation.

· Review DVIRs and ensure vehicle defects are properly reported and addressed.

· Communicate operational issues and significant service disruptions to management and Argo as required.





· Coordinate with the designated maintenance provider when vehicle issues affect service.

· Provide coaching and corrective direction to Operators when required.

· Monitor weather and road conditions and assist with service adjustments.

· Maintain accurate daily operational records and reports.

· Operate an Argo transit vehicle when required to protect service.

Skills

· Previous transit, transportation, dispatch or fleet operations experience is preferred.

· Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset.

· Strong computer skills and ability to learn new dispatch and operating systems.

· Experience with GPS, CAD/AVL or fleet-management systems is an asset.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Ability to remain calm and provide clear direction during operational incidents.

· Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Must hold, or be able to obtain, the appropriate Ontario driver's licence required to operate the Argo vehicles.

· Must successfully complete all required TOK and Argo training and Operator certification.

· Must be available to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.

Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
