About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Reporting to the Manager 2C Cardiovascular & Regional Stroke Unit (RSU), you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients including complex patient populations whose outcomes are not predictable.



As part of a multidisciplinary health care team, you will practice within the Professional Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Philosophy of patient and family centred care, mission vision, values and the policies of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

- Current unencumbered registration as a Registered Nurse withthe College of Nurses of Ontario, or the ability to become licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current certification in BCLS
- Recent knowledge in Cardiovascular Nursing with experience inthe care of complex patient populations, including, but not limited to: Pre and post PCI (Angioplasty), CoronaryArtery Disease, Cardiac Catheterization, Permanent Pacemaker Insertion and Palliative Inotropes
- Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning,implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized careplanning and delivery
- Identify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responsesand take appropriate action
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions
- Strong interprofessional and communication skills
- Central Venous Line Management
- Certification or completion Lead II Arrhythmia InterpretationProgram

In addition to the above qualifications, preference will be givento applicants who:
- Have a certification, or recent continuing education inCardiovascular Nursing
- Have recent Cardioversion experience

Salary Range: $41.150 to 58.980
