About the Job:We are hiring a 3D Scanning & Metrology Technician to support automotive inspection, validation, and launch activities using advanced Creaform scanning systems. This role ensures dimensional accuracy for new and existing automotive components.
Pay: $60000 - $65000.
Responsibilities:
- Perform 3D scanning using Creaform systems (HandySCAN, MetraSCAN).
- Conduct dimensional inspections and GD&T; analysis.
- Compare scan data to CAD models and identify deviations.
- Support PPAP and recent product launches.
- Generate detailed inspection reports for engineering and OEMs.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on quality issues.
- Maintain scanning equipment and calibration standards.
- Support reverse engineering projects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years 3D scanning/metrology experience.
- Strong GD&T; and automotive inspection knowledge.
- Experience with Creaform + VXelements/VXinspect, & Polyworks software.
- Ability to interpret CAD models and drawings.
- Automotive manufacturing experience required.
