About the Role

They are looking to fill a new hands-on Manager role to help provide professional accounting services to a variety of clients, primarily owner-operated and NPOs. You will also be providing leadership and management to the staff.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to take the next step in his/her accounting career who loves working with owner-managed businesses and NPOs.

This role is available REMOTE but preference is for HYBRID (2 days per week).

YOU MUST LIVE IN ONTARIO.

YOU MUST HAVE A VALID ONTARIO CPA LICENSE. (ACCA is not accepted)

Responsibilities

- Efficiently prepare year-end engagements and tax returns for your clients in a variety of industries.
- Perform audits, prepare working papers and financial statements per regulatory standards.
- Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to requests and suggestions.
- Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
- Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
- Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team.

Qualifications

- You are a licensed CPA IN ONTARIO (ACCA, CPA US, etc. does not count).




- You have 5+ years of assurance experience working for a CANADIAN public accounting firm, supporting private owner-managed businesses and NPOs.
- Working knowledge of agricultural & real estate and development clients/industry would be an asset.
- You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
- You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Pay range and compensation package

- Salary up to $120k
- Up to 10% annual bonus
- Paid CPA and PD fees
- Commission on new client acquisitions

- Generous paid time off (up to 4 weeks)

*Please note that candidates must be flexible to work overtime during peak business periods, with overtime compensated as Fridays off during July and August.
