Kayla's Children Centre is a multi-disciplinary centre for children with special needs. Our mission is to provide high-quality, cutting-edge, educational, therapeutic, and recreational programs for infants, children and teens with special needs, and to assist their families by offering support and respite.

Aftercare Supervisor (Part time Position)
Are you a confident leader who loves working with children and creating positive, engaging experiences? Kayla's Children Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Aftercare Supervisor to help lead our after-school program and support a warm, inclusive environment for children with diverse learning needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with leadership experience in extracurricular, camp, recreation, childcare, or educational settings who enjoys mentoring staff, building relationships with families, and making a meaningful impact each day.
Position Details
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 2:15 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
- Friday:
1:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision within the aftercare program.
- Make informed decisions to support the smooth operation of the program.
- Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with parents and families.
- Guide, mentor, and direct aftercare staff to ensure a high-quality program experience.
- Order, prepare, and organize daily snacks.
- Assist with planning schedules, activities, and program routines.
- Collaborate closely with the Aftercare Manager to ensure the program runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
- Foster a positive, welcoming, and energetic atmosphere for children and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience in extracurricular programs, camps, recreation, childcare, education, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make daily operational decisions independently.
- Experience supervising or directing staff is an asset.
- Experience working with children with special needs is strongly preferred.
- Patient, energetic, flexible, and team-oriented.
- Ability to create a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment for all children.
