Appointment Setter

Less Overlap is looking for a full-time Appointment Setter to join our team in the Richmond Hill, Ontario area.

This role is primarily phone-based. You will be provided with businesses to contact and will spend much of your day speaking with prospective customers, identifying interest, and booking appointments for our sales team.

There is no closing involved, and you will not be responsible for finding your own leads.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Make outbound calls using prospect lists provided by Less Overlap
- Speak with business owners and other decision-makers
- Deliver a clear, conversational introduction to the reason for your call
- Ask basic questions to identify interested prospects
- Book appointments directly into the appropriate calendar
- Follow up with prospects who have asked to be contacted again
- Keep call results and prospect information up to date
- Confirm that booked appointments contain the information needed by the sales team
- Use our calling and software tools throughout the workday

What We’re Looking For This position is well suited to someone who is comfortable spending a significant amount of their day on the phone.

You should be





- Comfortable starting conversations with people you haven’t spoken with before
- Clear and professional when speaking on the phone
- A good listener who can carry a natural conversation
- Comfortable hearing “no” and moving on to the next call
- Reliable and consistent with your work
- Able to follow a defined calling process
- Comfortable working with basic computer and online software
- Organized enough to keep accurate notes and follow-up information

Previous appointment setting, call centre, telemarketing, customer service, or outbound calling experience is helpful, but not required.
