Münter Design & Build is hiring Apprentice Carpenters for full-time, year-round custom residential construction in Fernie, BC.
We are looking for registered apprentices and experienced construction workers who want to develop their carpentry skills and build a long-term career in the trade.
If you have construction experience but are not currently registered as an apprentice, we still want to hear from you.
What you will be doing
Your work may include
- Residential framing
- Measuring and layout
- Sheathing and blocking
- Window and exterior door installation
- Building-envelope and air-sealing work
- Exterior carpentry
- General residential construction
- Material handling and organization
- Reading and learning from construction drawings
- Working alongside experienced carpenters and site leaders
You will be expected to take on more responsibility as your skills develop.
What we are looking for
- Registered apprentice or relevant construction experience
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Reliable and punctual
- Willing to learn
- Able to take direction and apply feedback
- Interested in improving your carpentry skills
- Able to work safely and productively
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation strongly preferred
Experienced construction labourers who want to enter a carpentry apprenticeship are encouraged to apply.
Compensation
$30-$40/hour
Pay will depend on apprenticeship level, previous experience, productivity and the work you can complete independently.
