Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers.

Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The position requires strong time management skills, attention to food safety standards, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using standard recipes and techniques
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards
- Manage cash register operations, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in accordance with health and safety regulations




- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Uphold food safety standards and adhere to all health regulations
- Smart serve certified.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming environment
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and register operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
