We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bodyman to join our dynamic automotive repair team! As a Bodyman, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition by repairing and refinishing vehicle bodies with precision and care. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive repair, with a focus on bodywork, to showcase their craftsmanship and contribute to delivering exceptional service.
Your expertise will help ensure our customers leave satisfied with their beautifully restored vehicles, all while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment that values quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Repair and refinish vehicle bodies, including dent removal, panel replacement, and surface preparation using hand tools and power tools
- Sand, fill, prime, and paint vehicle surfaces to achieve a smooth, flawless finish that meets manufacturer standards
- Use heavy lifting techniques safely to move vehicle parts or panels during repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on the shop floor
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and uphold quality standards
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance,
ensuring all repairs meet safety and aesthetic requirements
- Follow dealership or shop procedures for documentation, parts ordering, and customer communication
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with a focus on bodywork preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment for body repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily tasks
- Knowledge of automotive painting techniques and refinishing processes is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
