We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and physically fit Helper to join our bread distribution team in the Owen Sound area.
The successful candidate will work alongside our delivery route and assist with breaking down bread products and merchandising at two large retail stores.
This is a hands-on position that involves physical work, walking, lifting, organizing products, and stocking shelves. It is well suited for someone who is dependable, energetic, and comfortable working independently in a busy retail environment.
Training will be provided to the right candidate. Previous bread distribution or merchandising experience is an asset but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery and unloading of bread products.
- Break down bread trays and organize products efficiently.
- Merchandise and stock bread products on store shelves and displays.
- Rotate products according to proper merchandising procedures.
- Ensure shelves and displays are properly stocked and organized.
- Check product presentation and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Move and handle bread trays and products safely.
- Work efficiently to complete store merchandising within the required time.
- Communicate professionally with store employees and team members.
- Follow all workplace and safety procedures.
- Assist with other duties related to bread distribution and merchandising as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Full G driver's licence is required.
- 3-year driver's abstract required.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Physically fit and comfortable performing repetitive lifting and handling.
- Ability to lift approximately 30 lbs.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfortable working early morning shifts.
- Able to follow instructions and work efficiently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in grocery stores, merchandising, delivery, warehouse, or distribution is an asset but not required.
