Your Role We are currently accepting applications for a Business Analyst Co-op position within our CNU Division. This chance is available for 4, 8, 12, or 16-month work terms and is designed for students seeking hands-on experience in business analysis, project controls, financial reporting, and data analytics within a project-based engineering environment. Working closely with project managers, business analysts, project controls specialists, and operational leaders, you will support business reporting, financial analysis, process improvement initiatives, and data-driven decision-making while developing practical skills that complement your academic studies.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Responsibilities Assist with project financial administration, including cost tracking, billing support, revenue reporting, and cash flow monitoring. Support project budgeting, forecasting, resource utilization tracking, and variance analysis. Collect, validate, organize, and analyze operational, project, and financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools. Prepare project summaries, business performance reports, financial analyses, and presentations for management review. Produce clear and concise visualizations, charts, and graphical reports to communicate project and business performance.

Assist with maintaining project work breakdown structures (WBS), project controls documentation, and reporting databases.



Collaborate with project teams to improve reporting processes, data quality, workflow efficiency, and operational performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives through analysis, process mapping, and recommendations for process enhancements.

Utilize Microsoft

Copilot, ChatGPT, and other AI-enabled tools to support reporting, automation, analysis, and productivity improvements. Participate in team meetings, project reviews, client presentations, and professional development opportunities. Exercise initiative in completing assigned tasks independently while seeking guidance from mentors and team members as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and project requirements.

Qualifications College diploma or university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is preferred. 2–4 years of experience in project controls, financial analysis, business analysis, project administration, accounting, or a related role. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel;

experience with Power BI or other reporting and data visualization tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and other AI-enabled productivity tools. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, financial reporting, and project controls principles.

Experience with ERP and project management systems is an asset.

Experience in an engineering, consulting, or project-based environment is preferred. Eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Compensation The expected annual compensation range for this position is $22 to $25 per hour Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining compensation, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications,



and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
