Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team in a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service while collaborating with the Kitchen to ensure product is available for customers and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires a passion for the food industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties

- Operate the POS system efficiently for cash handling and customer transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing their needs promptly.
- Supervise staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage inventory levels of doughnuts to ensure we have product to sell during the date and keeping aware of supply levels and communicating with owner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including kitchen equipment and dining spaces.
- Train new employees on food handling practices, customer service protocols,



and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with management to develop new coffee menu items
- Assist with social media

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service or restaurant management is preferred.
- Strong background as a barista with extensive coffee knowledge.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management or supervising staff.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience for guests.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
