Responsibilities

- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
- Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging supplies, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met
- Support patient care activities, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and updating patient records accurately
- Administer medications under supervision, following strict protocols and ensuring proper documentation
- Maintain clear communication with patients, answering questions and providing instructions for post-visit care
- Manage clinical supplies inventory, restocking as needed to ensure seamless clinic operations
- Follow all safety guidelines and adhere to infection control procedures to protect patients and staff
- Perform basic administrative and clinical support duties
- Perform other duties as reasonably required to support smooth operation of the clinic




- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Assist with specimen collection and handling, where applicable and within scope of training

Skills

- Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient information and assist healthcare providers
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate and professional demeanor
- Ability to administer medications safely and follow detailed protocols precisely
- Effective communication skills to interact confidently with patients, visitors, and team members
- Organized with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
- Knowledge of healthcare safety standards and infection control practices
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to patient care
- Comfortable working in a fast paced clinic environment
- Basic computer and electronic medical record (EMR) skills are an asset
