The CNL will contribute to the development of knowledge and the improvement of practice for an identified client population (ie Acute Care, ER, LTC).
Human Resources Exemption: No Experience 3 to 5 years exp. in the area of psychiatric and/or general nursing practice Experience in a community rural setting Previous supervisory experience preferred Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Other Education and Training Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Communication skills Leadership skills Interpersonal skills Organizational skills Knowledge and Abilities Creative problem solving in an open and resourceful manner Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives Knowledge of current trends/issues/perspectives of nursing in the clinical area Ability to be self directed and work relatively independently Knowledge in process of policy and procedure development Ability to be self motivated Knowledge in communication techniques and approaches Knowledge in leadership strategies Ability to adapt to ever changing environments Knowledge in critical thinking processes Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques Knowledge of the role of the specific clinical area with in the health system Ability to lead/encourage/advise/collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals Other Information Valid Class 5 driver's license Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan,
