Clinical Research Project Assistant The Clinical

Research Project Assistant works closely with the clinical research coordinator and team to assist in study operations. This position includes many fundamental tasks of the clinical research process, such as recruitment, communicating with families, organization, data collection, entering data, and liaising with the study team, among others. Here's What You'll Get To Do Protocol related:

Assist in administrative tasks related to recruitment and scheduling of participants.

Organize study documents for paper and electronic back-ups.

Manage records of participant payments (cash, vouchers, gift cards).

Maintain RedCap database up-to date.

Data entry (Psychology results, demographic information, and MRI reports).

Check data for accuracy and completeness; re-entry and data checking.

Research Subject Related

Assist in contact of potential study participants to determine interest in participation.





Schedule and manage study appointments in the Psychology Department and Research MRI.

Obtain informed consent for study participation.

Document and organize contacts and communication with families.

Prepare participant files in advance of appointments.

Communicate appointment information and maintain contact with families prior to appointment days.

Assist with data collection during study appointments (demographic information, biological samples, iPad testing, questionnaires).

Assist with preparing participants for MRI scans.

Relationships and Responsibility: Reports to study team.

Contact with Hospital Employees: Regularly; must be effective communicator and develop good working relationships with research team and participants.

Contact with Public: Regularly; Ongoing contact with families.

Here's What You'll Need Post-secondary degree in sciences, psychology, or a health-related discipline.

Previous research experience and experience working with children is desirable.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.

Ability to function independently and collaboratively within a team.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word).

Must maintain confidentiality of research subjects and sensitivity to cultural considerations.
