Are you an energetic young Albertan ready to learn a skilled trade? Economy Heating is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Helper through the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive Program!

This is an incredible opportunity for you to gain valuable, hands-on experience and launch your career in the construction/HVAC industry. We are committed to providing mentorship, training, and a supportive environment for the next generation of skilled workers.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):

As a Construction/Sheet Metal Helper, you will work closely with our experienced Sheet Metal Installers on new home installation projects. Your duties will include:

- Material Handling: Moving, organizing, and preparing sheet metal, tools, and equipment.
- Installation Support: Assisting in the installation of heat rough ins, ductwork, finals in new home construction
- Site Preparation: Maintaining a clean and safe work area, including cleaning up scrap metal and debris.
- Tool Maintenance: Assisting with the care, maintenance, and inventory of company tools and equipment.
- General Labour: Providing support to the team as needed to ensure projects are completed on time.

What We're Looking For (Candidate Profile): To be eligible for this position, you must meet the criteria of the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive Program:

- Age: Be an Alberta resident between 15 and 24 years of age at the start of employment.
- Residency:



Be an Alberta resident and a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Attitude: Highly motivated, reliable, and possess a strong willingness to learn.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in various physical positions (bending, kneeling, climbing).
- Skills: Basic math skills and an ability to read a tape measure accurately are considered assets. No prior sheet metal experience is required—we will train you!
- Safety: A commitment to following all workplace safety policies and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
