We are looking for a Civil Engineer (0–2 years of experience) to join our estimating team. This is a great prospect for a recent graduate or junior engineer who wants to develop their skills in construction estimating and quantity takeoffs.
Responsibilities
Review civil construction plans and specifications.
Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings.
Enter quantities and project information into Excel spreadsheets.
Contact suppliers to request material pricing.
Assist in preparing project estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and other project costs.
Help improve estimating spreadsheets and takeoff processes.
Work with the team to complete estimates before bid deadlines.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
0–2 years of experience.
Ability to read construction drawings (or willingness to learn).
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication skills.
Eagerness to learn and grow in construction estimating.
Preferred
Internship or coursework related to construction, estimating, or project management is a plus.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or estimating software is an advantage, but not required.
