In this pivotal role, you will coordinate various aspects of construction projects through their phase , ensuring seamless communication among stakeholders, adherence to schedules, and optimal resource management. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help deliver high-quality results while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator - will primarily support the pre-construction functions of the development and project coordination activities throughout project execution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, performing quantity take-offs, obtaining vendor and subcontractor pricing, preparing bid submissions, supporting change order pricing, and assisting with project planning, procurement, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- prepare tender scope of work, update drawings' lists and other tender documentation
- Obtain, evaluate, and coordinate vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare pricing for change notices, change orders, and extra work requests
- Participate in bid review and project handover meetings
- Assist Project Managers with project execution and coordination activities
- Maintain project documentation, trackers, RFIs, and drawing control logs
- Coordinate procurement activities and purchase requisitions
- Assist in preparing baseline project scheduling, week to week look ahead, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain and record daily site activities, daily reports, schedule slippages.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items
- Support project closeout documentation,
commissioning reports, including O&M; manuals and quality records and warranties .
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to develop and maintain project schedules using construction management softwares.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including tracking material deliveries and managing subcontractor schedules.
- Monitor project progress regularly, updating schedules, budgets, and documentation to reflect current status.
- Facilitate communication across teams by organizing meetings, preparing reports, and documenting project milestones .
- Support project management tasks such as risk assessments, change order processing, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Education, skills and experience
- Education: Technical Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, scheduling and project management software; strong coordination, documentation SkillsProven
- Experience: minimum 3 years experience in construction project coordination or a related role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, management softwares.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
