Miki’s Breakfast & Sushi is looking for an experienced Cook to join the team.

Position: Cook (Permanent)

Employer: Mikischoice Enterprises Ltd. o/a Miki’s Breakfast & Sushi

Working Address: 1319 Shoppers Row, Campbell River, BC, V9W 2C9, Canada

Wage: $25.00-35.00/hr (to be negotiated)

Overtime: 1.5x regular wage after 8 hrs/day and after 40 hrs/week

Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week (full-time)

Advantages: 10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation fee

Job Duties

- Determine the size of food portions and costs
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food




- Order supplies and equipment
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Recruit and hire staff
- Manage kitchen operations

Qualifications:

- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Several years (3-5 years) of commercial cooking experience are required, or completion of a 3‑year apprenticeship program for cooks, or completion of college or other program in cooking.
- Ability to communicate in English is required.
