Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be adept at diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, as well as maintaining various types of heavy machinery. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, which includes trucks, farm machinery, and industrial equipment.

Duties

- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines to identify issues and malfunctions.
- Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Weld components as necessary to ensure structural integrity and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest industry practices and technologies related to diesel mechanics.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in automotive repair,



specifically with diesel engines.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with dealership practices is a plus.
- Experience working with industrial equipment, farm machinery, cranes, or Caterpillar products is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues as they arise.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a quick-paced environment.
