Role Description The Electrical Engineer role at InDro Robotics is a full-time, on-site position based in Ottawa, ON.
The Electrical
Engineer will design, develop, and support electrical systems for unmanned aerial, land, and marine platforms, including power distribution, control circuitry, and integration of mission-specific sensors.
Responsibilities include creating and reviewing electrical schematics, selecting components, overseeing wiring and assembly, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to prototype, test,
and troubleshoot electrical and power systems, as well as documenting designs and contributing to continuous improvement of product reliability and performance.
The Electrical
Engineer will also support field deployments, perform diagnostics on operational systems, and provide technical guidance to colleagues and partners.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering concepts, including electricity and electronic circuits, and the ability to apply them to robotic , unmanned systems and electronic vehicles. Proficiency in Electrical Design, including creating schematics, selecting components, and PCB design , wiring harness development.
Experience with Power Systems and Power Distribution design for mobile platforms, including batteries, converters, and protection devices.
Master degree in Computer, Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
Experience working in a hands-on engineering environment, preferably involving robotics, drones, electronic vehicle such automated systems.
Familiarity with relevant electrical standards, safety practices, and testing procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Robust problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
Experience with EDA tools for electrical design, basic embedded systems, or control systems is an asset.
Eligibility to work on-site in East Gwillimbury, ON and participate in occasional field deployments as required.
