- Certification from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant program
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience (required)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of Kroll software is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greet patients and healthcare providers in person and by phone; answer questions and direct inquiries to the pharmacist when appropriate
- Prepare and dispense medications and pharmaceutical products in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy standards
- Manage pharmacy inventory by checking stock levels, placing and expediting orders, and removing expired or outdated medications
- Resolve issues as they arise, including rejected or problematic insurance claims
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized pharmacy environment in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Complete administrative and record-keeping tasks as assigned
