Position Summary

Road Armour Inc. is seeking a dependable and hardworking Field Technician to support our asphalt, concrete and property-maintenance operations. This is a hands-on position involving physical outdoor work, equipment operation, job-site preparation and general labour.

The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious and willing to learn. Previous construction experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

- Assist with asphalt paving, patching and repair work
- Perform asphalt seal coating and crack filling
- Assist with concrete sealing and repairs
- Prepare job sites by cleaning, sweeping, measuring and setting up work areas
- Load, unload and organize tools, materials and equipment
- Operate hand tools, power tools and small construction equipment
- Assist equipment operators and other crew members as directed
- Perform general site cleanup and ensure completed work meets company standards
- Complete basic daily equipment inspections and report damage or maintenance concerns
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition
- Assist with snow and ice-management operations during the winter season
- Follow all company policies, safe-work procedures and supervisor instructions
- Represent Road Armour professionally while working at customer properties
- Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications
- Construction, paving, landscaping or general labour experience is considered an asset




- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation to the designated meeting location
- Ability to work safely with limited supervision and as part of a crew
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks
- Robust attendance, punctuality and work ethic
- Ability to communicate respectfully with coworkers, supervisors and customers
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and overnight shifts when required
- Experience operating construction equipment is an asset
- Traffic-control or workplace-safety certifications are considered assets

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and work on uneven surfaces
- Ability to work around dust, noise, heat, cold and construction materials
- Ability to safely wear all required personal protective equipment
