Role Description The Framing Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role located in Pembroke, ON. This role oversees framing crews, coordinates daily work activities, and ensures that all structural framing is completed according to plans, building codes, and company standards.
The Framing
Supervisor reviews blueprints, assigns tasks, monitors progress, and conducts on-site inspections to verify accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities include managing material usage, maintaining a safe work workplace, communicating with project managers and subcontractors, and resolving on-site issues. The supervisor is expected to lead by example, provide training and guidance to crew members, and help maintain project schedules, ensure productivity and manage cost control.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in framing, carpentry, and structural construction, including reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings.
- Proven supervisory or lead-hand experience managing crews, assigning tasks, and coordinating on-site activities.
- Solid knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and best practices for job site safety and compliance.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with crew members, contractors, and project managers.
- Ability to plan work, prioritize tasks, and maintain project timelines in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Physical ability to perform on-site construction tasks, including lifting, standing, and working with tools and equipment.
- Basic computer or mobile device skills for reporting, time tracking, and reviewing project documentation.
- Previous experience as a Framing Supervisor, Lead Carpenter, or similar role; trade certification or apprenticeship completion in carpentry is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Pembroke, ON job site.
