Job Title: Game Day Team Member

Reports to: Manager of Fan Experience and Game Day/Events Lead

Position Type: Part-Time / Game Day (Hourly)

Expected Hours: Based on the Kitchener Rangers Game and Event Schedule The Kitchener Rangers are seeking outgoing, enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Game Day and Event Team. Successful candidates will play an important role in creating an exciting, welcoming and memorable experience for our fans at Kitchener Rangers games, community appearances, sponsor activations and special events. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a quick-paced environment, and has a passion for sports and entertainment.

The position offers a safe, fun, inclusive, and positive working environment for someone with an excellent work ethic that aligns with our values and culture. This role will be primarily based out of the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, with additional work at community and promotional events throughout the region.

Primary Responsibilities

- Serve as an ambassador for the Kitchener Rangers by delivering an outstanding fan experience and representing the Rangers brand with energy, enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Select and engage fans for participation in on-ice and in-seat promotions, including shootouts, Best Dressed Fan and other interactive game-day activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for game-day group experiences, including Benchwarmers, Mini Game participants, Ice-Level Insiders and other fan groups.
- Proactively engage with fans throughout the venue, answer basic questions, provide directions and information, and help create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere.
- Distribute promotional materials, sponsor giveaways, contest entries, prizes and entrance/exit giveaways while actively engaging with fans.
- Assist with the execution of sponsor activations, promotional programs and fan engagement initiatives.
- Promote upcoming home games, ticket offers, special events, community initiatives and other Kitchener Rangers programs.




- Serve as a Mascot Handler during games, community appearances and special events, assisting with mascot safety, costume management, crowd navigation, fan interactions and event logistics.
- Represent the Kitchener Rangers at community appearances, charity events, sponsor activations, promotional events and other off-site engagements.
- Assist with the setup and tear down of promotional tents, signage, inflatables, activation equipment and other event materials.
- Assist with pre-game and post-game preparations, including organizing promotional materials, prizes, giveaways, equipment and fan engagement areas.
- Assist with the safe and efficient movement of participants, groups and fans throughout the venue and ensure participants are in the appropriate locations at the required times.
- Adapt quickly to changing game-day circumstances and respond to direction from the Manager of Fan Experience and/or Game Day and Events Team Lead.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a high level of energy, enthusiasm and professionalism throughout each game and event.
- Assist with other gameday, event and fan experience duties as required.

Qualifications:
- An outgoing, enthusiastic personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable fan experiences.
- Comfortable speaking with large groups and initiating conversations with fans of all ages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and foster strong working relationships.




- Must be reliable, punctual, professional and dependable.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and responsibilities may change quickly.
- Must be able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
- Ability to take direction, demonstrate initiative and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong understanding of sports, particularly hockey, and a passion for sports and entertainment is an asset.
- Previous experience in sports, event operations, promotions, customer service, hospitality, entertainment or a similar environment is considered an asset.
- Experience working with children and families is considered an asset.
- A Relentless worker who possesses a team-first, positive attitude.

Other Considerations:
- The ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays based around the Kitchener Rangers' game and event schedule is required.
- Candidates must be available to work Kitchener Rangers home games throughout the 2026–2027 season, beginning in late August through March, with additional availability required during playoffs.
- Candidates must be available for weeknight and weekend special events throughout the 2026–2027 season, including community appearances, sponsor activations, promotional events and other events as required.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and work in both indoor and outdoor environments is required.
- The candidate will primarily work out of the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, with additional work at off-site community and promotional events as needed.
