Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking General Labourer / Renovation Assistant to join our growing renovation company.

We specialize in a wide variety of residential renovation and construction projects, including full home renovations, kitchen and bathroom renovations, cabinetry installation, fine finishing, trim work, flooring, decks, rough carpentry, framing, and more.

This is a hands-on position working alongside our renovation team and assisting with projects from demolition through to the finishing stages. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities Include

- Assisting with residential renovations and remodeling projects
- Demolition and site preparation
- Assisting with cabinetry and millwork installation
- Rough carpentry and framing
- Trim, moulding, panelling and other finish carpentry
- Drywall installation and general repairs
- Flooring and other interior finishing work
- Deck and exterior construction
- Measuring, cutting and handling building materials
- Loading/unloading tools and materials
- Jobsite setup and cleanup
- Keeping tools, equipment and work areas organized
- Assisting lead carpenters/installers as required
- Picking up materials and supplies when needed
- Performing a variety of general construction and labour tasks

What We’re Looking For:




- Construction or renovation experience is an asset, but we are willing to consider someone who is motivated and eager to learn
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently when required
- Willingness to learn different aspects of renovations and construction
- Ability to take direction and work well as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying construction materials
- Respectful and professional when working in clients’ homes
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation is a must

The Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone who wants more than just a general labour position. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning multiple areas of residential renovations and developing their carpentry and finishing skills while working on a wide variety of projects.

Our projects range from demolition and rough construction to detailed cabinetry and fine finishing, so no two days are exactly the same.
