General Manager The General Manager (GM) will direct the complete operational, logistical, and commercial activities of our used cooking oil (UCO) collection facility. You will be responsible for overseeing route logistics, fleet maintenance, plant operations, and B2B sales. Your core objectives are to maximize feedstock collection volumes, optimize routing efficiency, maintain strict environmental and safety compliance, and aggressively grow our restaurant partner network.

Core Responsibilities

Operations & Logistics Management

- Oversee route execution for the vacuum tanker and box truck fleet to ensure on-time collection and maximize gallons collected per mile.
- Oversee depot activities, ensuring efficient operations, managing inventory and supplies, ensure protected storage, coordinate waste vegetable oil bulk asset transport.
- Manage fleet asset maintenance, ensuring minimum downtime for vehicles and specialized pumping equipment, manage registrations, inspections and other regulatory compliance, keep accurate logs/documentation and records. Ensure clean safe and compliant environment.
- Perform daily route reconciliation to verify exact delivery and collection volumes against physical data tracking sheets.

Commercial & Network Growth

Oversee B2B sales staff Focused on signing new grease-producing accounts, manage and grow inside and outside sales force, ensure compliance with company policies.

- Manage relationships with suppliers regarding oil collections, contract terms, anti-theft policies, and payment structures or rebates.
- Oversee bulk commodity sales of processed UCO to biodiesel plants, renewable diesel manufacturers, or export brokers.

Compliance, Safety, & Sustainability

- Enforce local, provincial, and federal regulations regarding the transport, collection, and handling of non-hazardous liquid waste.




- Maintain Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans and ensure rapid-response protocols are drilled regularly across drivers and yard staff.
- Audit regulatory manifests, Ministry of Transportation (MOT) logs, and compliance records.

Financial & Administrative Leadership

- Own the Profit and Loss (P&L;) statement for the branch, maintain budgets, controlling labor overtime, and slashing processing yield losses.
- Recruit, train, and mentor personnel, CDL-certified drivers, general labor, and sales account representatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of management experience in waste management, route logistics, industrial recycling, or fuel distribution preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent technical field.
- Logistics Acumen: Proficient with route optimization software, fleet telematics, and enterprise CRM platforms.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Firm understanding of MOT compliance, MOE standards, and regional environmental laws.
- Leadership: Exceptional capabilities in managing field-based personnel who operate non-standard hours (e.g., night-shift drivers).
- License: A valid driver's license with clean driving history is required; a Commercial Driver’s License (Class AZ or DZ) is preferred

Compensation & Benefits

- Base Salary: $100,000/Year
- Benefits Package: 100% paid supplemental health, dental, and vision insurance
